I'll tell you this - I think more and more Catholics are "Cafeteria Catholics" these days. I went to a Catholic high school and by senior year out of the 50 girls in my class (literally, exactly 50 of us, 61 boys) I'd say 3/4 of us were on the pill for some reason or another. Very few were having sex, but the pill is great for acne, period control (for girls in sports). Even our teachers (we had laypeople not nuns) knew and were fine with it. We couldn't have it in school, but it was talked about. Even our "family life" class covered that it was wrong for preventing pregnancy but if you had a legitimate medical reason it was okay in gods eyes to treat your problem.
This was a stupid, stupid time to bring up birth control for the GOP. You do that AFTER you get in office, have we learned nothing
