"Johanns was speaking in support of an amendment by Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) that would have allowed any employer not to include coverage sterilizations, contraceptives and abortifacients in an insurance plan if it violated the employer's religious faith to do so." Apparently the Nebraskan is saying that only the employers (and not the employees) can express their "religious faith." What if it does not violate the employees religious faith?

Are employees not "religious" and/or intelligent enough to make decisions that affect their own bodies? For example if an employee has the flu, I would have to believe the employee can decide for themselves whether to take medication to relieve pain, suffering and discomfort. Why is it that an employee can make their own medical decisions if they have the flu but not on contraceptives?

Hmmmm, sounds like a classic example of US Senators speaking out of both sides of their mouths and not making sense from either side.

If you look closely at the picture, it is little wonder that the Nebraska Senator bears a striking resemblance to a dildo!

I don't think the right to fuck should be covered by insurance involuntarily, nor should it be supported by taxpayer dollars. I'm just sayin'.

In the future, you probably should take the time to read your trash prior to posting!

...oh wait.
Jon Stewart weighs in on Senators Blunt, Johanns, Governor Romney and the Blunt Amendment. It doesn't seem to me that Stewart believes Johanns is "A Nebraskan who makes sense." Draw your own conclusions!

BigTurd, than is on a different subject. It would next to impossible for a Senator to make sense all the time. My original post caught the Senator in a rare moment of clarity.
