Favorite 2 weeks of the year

I am a huge basketball fan so from the start of the big 12 tourney through the end of the 1st and 2nd rounds of the NCAA - this is the best time of the year. Spring is near, daylight savings time is here, St Patty's day can't be far away. This is definitely where I get my spring fever.

Now if I could just get some stones and pop my hobby cherry and have a date between the afternoon and evening sessions today that would truly be March Madness!

Headed to P&L for the festivities today. I will be the guy with the long sleeve gray or white shirt underneath my purple short sleeve shirt. I will also have a hat - maybe even turn it backwards. I should be easy to spot cuz nobody wears that.

Go State.

So we might as well make it semi-official. Who's winning the Big 12 Tourney?

My heart is pulling for KState but realistically, I think it will be Mizzou. I think KU is the hottest right now but their tourney record is dismal.

I'm aware of the record Scorpio. Even when they win, I feel like they don't play as well as they should in the tournament. In a way that's understandable. They've won the Big 12 what, 7 or 8 years in a row in the regular season. Almost always one of the top seeds in the NCAA tourney. The Big 12 tourney to them is really almost an exhibition thing.

I'm not dissing KU, I have a great respect for their program. I pull for them as long as they're not playing my Cats. I just feel like they don't take the Big 12 tourney very seriously.

Hey, no problem, I didn't sense you were dissing the Jayahwks, I just disagreed with the characterization as dismal, that's all.

I hope KU wins the tourny but I'm afraid of the tigers. They are a he'll of a team but I hate them for leaving the Big 12! Its gonna be a KU MU championship game and it will be close again. Can't wait for the brackets to come out!

I miss living in Vegas the first week of MM. The buzz in town is unreal - rivaling NYE and SB Saturday. Thur and Fri of the first round are great. Take off work, get to the books early, stake out a seat, and drink and bet all day.
