Poker in Texas?

Why is it that I cannot play Texas Hold 'Em... IN TEXAS???

Driving 2.5 hours to Isle/L'auberge or 3 hours to Coushatta sucks.

I'm not looking to make or lose thousands in a sitting. But it would be nice to play with a couple hundy without it costing me $50 in gas and a day's worth of travel time.

There are games all over town. I thinck they like to have players sit in that can figure things out for themselves and not whine...ijs.
I don't think I've ever sat a table of ten and not had two or three whiners. It's just the nature of the game.

I've never had to deal with home games before. I've always lived in states that didn't have ignorant views on gambling/gaming. Wouldn't even know where to look, honestly.

If you're a "made man", the Usual Suspects tourney hosted by a couple of of our own local legends (gratuitous plug for our boyz!) can be a great place to start. The buy-in fits your bank roll & it's a good way to make ALL SORTS of introductions!
