If you disable your account can your posts also be removed?

The short answer is no.
Removing posts is a manual process and is only done when absolutely necessary.
(And the content in the public areas of the site are indexed by all the major search engines, so even if we do delete content, it lives on in Google/Bing/Yahoo for quite awhile...)
