Personally, I don't see any problem with it. It looks like a toy gun, and is done a more playful manner I think, but I can understand why some would be uncomfortable. When I'm about to see a lady, I send a very candid picture of myself to let them know what I look like, and it sometimes features a gun. Take a look at these two:
