So the dilemma is finally solved. The cat is no longer both dead and alive.
What was Heinlein's comment about dead cats. 'With proper promotion and a free hand they sale rather well.' Or something to that effect.

I suppose now that this mystery has been solved it might be a good time to work on Maxwell and his demon.

About the Congress Critter who suggested that we solve our energy problems by removing the gas guzzeling engines and replace them with Maxwell demon engines.
