No 3D Breasts in China

The government censors in China have removed the scene showing Kate Winslet's bare breasts in the 3D re-release of the movie Titanic, even though it was shown in the 2D version.

This has prompted many complaints by disgruntled viewers, such as this blogger: "I've been waiting almost 15 years, and not for the 3D icebergs."

This is the amazing explanation given by the officials for the censorship: "Considering the vivid 3D effects, we fear that viewers may reach out their hands for a touch and thus interrupt other people's viewing. We've decided to cut off the nudity scenes."

I can't imagine what the problem is. As I recall, they were fairly nice to see, but, they weren't going to poke your eye out, even in 3D
