Binghamton

I'm travelling to Bing, NY for a couple days and wondered if anybody had reccomendations on motels or insight on the city. Thx
Anybody know anything about the Endwell Motel on Main St in Endicott?
I have stayed at Ho Jo's a few times just passing through town and needed a place to sleep. I get the free points there. Not sure if you are looking for something specific. I am guessing you have never been to Binghampton. It is kind of a small town where nothing is hard to find or get to, plenty of parking, and plenty of decent hotels for under $100. Ho Jo's was clean, and quiet, and they have the free breakfast in the morning.

Although, I have not been since the Marcellus Shale explosion. I here the availability has changed with all the contractors in the area. Maybe one of the locals can give you more help if we knew what you were looking for.
I'm just looking for a cheap place somewhere in the main urban core. Yes, I've never been there, Although I have heard varrying things, some seem to think it's a crime ridden dump, some like it and some say it's painfully boring.

There isn't really an urban core... I'd stay away from the endwell motel. If you want to stay downtown there's the holiday inn and the riverwalk... otherwise listen to chubsy and pick a chain hotel on front street... really easy to get around...or pick one of the places on the parkway.

It can be boring for sure, but there is a lot less crime than you've been led to believe...binghamton is more like a few towns that grew together than a city. Just a few bad neighborhoods, but its all wannabe gangsters... i never feel unsafe walking around anywhere.
Thanks for the info. I'll definitely look into the Front St area, I see there are numerous well priced chain motels there. Glad to know the crime isn't as bad as I here, I heard that it has a lot of problems with gangs from NYC or something.
"gangs from NYC" That was the basketball team at BU, but that got broke up.
Thanks for the help guys. I ended up staying at the Days INN on Front St in Binghamton. It was nice enough.
