Ironic, isn't it. Those "big corporations" the actors and singers complain about made their careers possible. Vinyl for records, Polycarbonate for Cd/DVD, the electronics and optics needed to record and playback what they do. The vehicles to move them from venue to venue etc.
Without all of that they'd be as widely known as the ones who strutted the stage 'neath Shakespeare's gaze. . . maybe a 2 or 3 mile radius.
