Arrests

In December, 2010 the City of New Orleans made changes to how they would handle prostitution and marijuana cases. It seems there have been several arrests lately, it makes me wonder why they are chosing to arrest as opposed to issuing a summons.

Its a ruse to look tough on crime. The cops cant do anything about the violent crime rates, so they pad the stats on others so that hey wont look as bad.

The latest numbers I have heard is murder is up 14%. Also, with the Mayor appointing a member of the Jefferson political machine to the city Council.....I think he and the city are looking for anything to change the conversation.
