The team is old (Duncan, Manu) and if they can get younger and better by trading Parker, so be it .... Adding younger pieces to go with Blair and Hill might not be a bad thing ...

Also, with the upcoming free agent free-for-all, there are several teams that have been freeing up cap space, but only so many Dwayne Wades and LeBrons to go around. Expect the team to get younger next year, with Manu (who will be a free agent, I believe), Parker, and Duncan going to the losers of the Lebron lottery.

BTW check out this list of upcoming free agents!

I like Parker.
I love Parker's wife.
He has been a good fit for San Antonio.
The Spurs will go no further with their current line-up.
So Parker must be the sacrificial lamb.
I hate to see him go, but I have it on very good authority that he is gone.

heard Eva wants him in LA
Tony is still young with a lot of mileage left so not sure trading a point guard with valuable (3) championship experience would be the best move. Manu is already signed up for next year as well and Tim isn't going anywhere til he retires. The problem is the guys we plugged in around them (specifically Jefferson) didn't jell like Pop liked and we are stuck with their contract. Our best hope is through the draft but since we always draft late it is hard to find the plums. We gave up too early on Luis Scola who is now with Houston doing great...Oh well, always next year....

The team is old. Its too late to draft. We already had Borat Hagic, but Pop let him go.

If some talent/youth can be had for Parker, then great.

McDyess looks good. Jefferson has to go.

Maybe Pop too. He is looking less than engaged these days. But Holt is too nice a guy to do that.

Draft AJ for coach
I'd trade Parker if I could get equal value. There is none better in the NBA at getting to the rim. But his outside shooting is nowhere near as good as Williams of Utah, Nash or even Chris Paul. Clog the middle, prevent the drives of Parker and Manu and teams can beat the Spurs. We need guys who can score in droves when needed, like Kerr, Stephen Jackson or even that fat, lazy slob from back in the first title run, Jarod Jackson. They don't play D, but they sure can erase a deficit IN A HURRY.

I'd keep him, and try to find those other pieces. We'll see what the brain trust does. It'll be interesting.

The Spurs quietly offered up Parker, Mason and Bonner in exchange for Chris Paul back in December. The Hornets rebuked the offer and nothing more came of it. However, the story is the problem is Parker's wife Eva. She is turning into the Yoko Ono of the team and is causing internal problems by whispering into Tony's ear about how he isn't treated like the star he is.

Has anyone ever noticed you will never see Pop standing anywhere near Eva?
