The best thing about the opinion is it gutted the Republicans' favorite gimmick for eliminating Social Security -- Bush's mandatory private savings accounts because they are now compelled participation in Commerce where none ok'd otherwise exist. Fucking knuckleheads!!! I love it!!!

Just call it a tax; have the bill originate in the House, and it is constitutional.

Even if it isn't really a tax. We now know that "tax schemes" mandating everyone to particpate in private enterprise is consistent with Robert's opinion and is constitutional.

Mandate that everyone have a private 401K; and if they don't tax them (including the poor). Then start cutting Social Security. Roberrt's, et al, paved the way for this. And don't forget to beef up the IRS to chase the deadbeats down.

And issue "waivers" for everyone who is 55 and older; letting them stay on Social Security. In 25 to 30 years the 55+ crowd will be dying off, SS will be gone and everyone will be self sufficient with their own 401K. BAM. problem solved.
