But tell me, what is a gal to do for entertainment? I am not a transactional lady, and I would love to explore some of the culinary playground while I am there. nami's is a great japanese steakhouse. benny hanna style. cooked at the hibachi and served to you right off the grill. and the show is awesome

If you are looking for something outside of the normal chain restaurants you are going to the wrong city. You should be coming to Waco where we have some fine dining. I read here that you are a meat and potato woman so I would recommend 135 Prime or Diamondbacks both are excellent, and if you make the trip dinner is one me.

There are several nice places in the surrounding area. Belton downtown by the courthouse has a couple of very nice places and there is Bobby Luco pizza on knights way that is good and new. The new part is good as they have not been in business long therefore the food is top quality. I can provide others PM me.

Thank you so much, everyone, for the recommendations. I am planning on visiting next week - probably Wednesday. I will post an ad within the next few days. While I don't think I will be staying the night, I do think I will make a day of visiting Killeen. Maybe someone can get me into the PX, this gal loves to shop

try Texas Land and Cattle for a good steak....

if you're willing to take the 20 min drive to Temple down 190 you can hit up Cheeves (very pricy) for steak/seafood/drinks or around the corner from them is Pignetti's for good italian

dunno if you're into the asian type foods like korean, vietnamese, or chinese....
