UN TREATY RAISES ALARM WITH GUN OWNERS

UNITED NATIONS – A treaty being hammered out this month at the United Nations -- with Iran playing a key role -- could expose the records of America's gun owners to foreign governments -- and, critics warn, eventually put the Second Amendment on global trial.

Americans “just don’t want the UN to be acting as a global nanny with a global permission slip stating whether they can own a gun or not,” LaPierre said. “It cheapens our rights as American citizens, and weakens our sovereignty,” he warned in an exclusive interview with FoxNews.com from the halls of the UN negotiating chambers

I think we should keep WHO and UNICEF, and disband the rest of the UN. Move them off the Rockefeller-donated property in New York, and put that land to some useful purpose, like a landfill or nuclear waste facility.

I think we covered this last week in WW's thread.

Personally, I think the treaty is DOA in the Senate. Another article on the page of Whirlaway's first link stated that 57 senators had written and protested it and therefore would not support it. If so, that would mean for it to be ratified it would require at least 24 of them to change their position.
