Rock legend Jon Lord keyboardist , songwriter , and co founder of Deep Purple , died yesterday of pancreatic cancer . He was 71 . Best known for writing songs like Smoke On The Water , and Highway Star . Bummer !

Yeah that sucks. I was in best buy the other day and they had a bunch of good classic CD's for 4.99. I picked up Deep Purple "Machine Head."

RIP Jon Lord.
He was the best keyboard player in hard rock imho.
Loved the way his keyboards worked in so well with Richie Blackmores guitar, the man could jam with the best of them.
