Any electronic communication leaves a trail of some sort. If LE is persistent enough they will find where things originate from.

Like I said in another Thread... They can trace ur IP Address in seconds.

I don't think any of us in this community really need to worry about any of this. The guy in the article was extensively harassing his ex girlfriend, the police aren't going to launch an investigation into someones digital life over some emails or text messages between clients and providers.

I agree. Unless there are extenuating circumstances, they are not going to make the effort.

cops dont need any reason, they pull people over in parking lots all the time, they do what they want, they dont need anyones phone.
