Honestly, there are millions of people in the world...and millions of women, and believe it or not, there are likely millions of providers - likewise Hobbyist. Jealousy should not be a problem in our world, but often is. Because this is a dangerous job, it is however, safer when we providers work
together...besides, the whole rest of the society has hobbyists and providers especially at the bottom of the totem pole. Often, when someone calls me to use as a reference, they have clients that would be interested in me too (many clients like a certain "type" of provider). I've never dealt with jealousy issues - now keeping a tight lip on where to tour, advice, etc was problematic in my earlier years providing - you know the attitude - "The Game is to be Sold, Not Told" ... at first I never understood this, but now I can slightly see why that attitude was taken. The saying isnt literal, its just best to find out on your own. Also, for a better example, read this thread, read my attempt to help, and then the providers response to see what I mean :
