Eccie is a great site for information sharing about the hobby. Unfortunately, we also get comfortable with the lifestyle and our hobby "friends". Discretion is extremely important for not only the hobbyists, but the providers.
Gentlemen, can you imagine being at a bar with your S.O. and a provider running up to her saying "Hey, how do you know (insert your handle here)?
Well, a few nights ago a hobbyist saw my photo on my S.O.'s screensaver. It wasn't a provider photo. This hobbyist actually asked, "how do you know Callie?" and proceeded to explain that I was an escort. Obviously, he is a former client if he recognized my face, as I have always taken care to protect my identity and the identity of my clients as best as I could. I got outed by a client. Do I think he intended to out me? No, most likely he was drinking and his mouth got the best of him. This was extremely careless of him.
I won't go into details of how I handled this at 2:30 in the morning, nor do I need the speculate on how much worse this could've ended and affected my personl life. But I do want to remind everyone to remember that this lifestyle requires respect and discretion on both ends. Please be smart everyone and never "assume" anything.
WOW. What a bone headed thing to do. I am sorry that happened to you!!!!
I actually ran in a provider that I have seen twice here in Baton Rouge. I made sure not to even make eye contact with her. She was very professional about it and didn't even nod at me. Thats how it should happen!!!!
Again, I am so very sorry about that Callie.
Sorry that happened to you. And thanks for the reminder, it is always a fear of mine.
That was very bone headed !!!
so sorry that happened!
{that is why i am so glad I have an open minded relationship with my SO}
That wasn't cool on his part
Not good. Sorry for what happened. Thanks you for the reminder. This is all fun, but one still needs to be careful.
Never looking forward to having that convo w/ my SO. Sorry that happened to you.
ItThat a stupid thing for that guy to do. Who the hell just walk up to some random person and just speaks about the hobby. What a dick. He would have no excuse. I don't believe that I have ever seen you display your face fully as a provider. Your photos have always clearly hidden your face. So this sounds more like him being malicious.
With the photos you have on your showcase it may be wise to fully blotch those out.
I'm sorry you had to deal with that. I've been outed before and it ruined a good relationship I had. And I wasn't even hobbying when I was in my relationship as I never do. It was temporarily devastating but I got past it.
Hope he learns a lesson from this. I hope things work out for you hon! Keep your chin up!!

Hope this works out ok for you Callie!! Sorry this happened!
I don't suppose you figured out who it was, huh?
Gosh, hate this happened...it will fall back on him. And drunk or not, that was so uncalled for. I've been lucky in a sense, to be single for .... Well since college.
Thanks for the support guys! I haven't figured out who the guy was...his description fit at least 5 different clients and I won't point fingers or speculate incorrectly.
When I first began this business, I did so knowing the risks and a revealed identity is one of them. Lucky for me I have an amazing S.O. that apparently loves me even if I'm a hooker. Lol
Ive never been the type of girl that posts drama or seeks out sympathy, but i think it's important to remind everyone to remember the name of the game--discretion. We all get comfortable sometimes
