Hello New Orleans!!

I am Soooooo excited to be coming Back to Nola!

This trip I will be staying in the French Quarter...little area. Some had mentioned parking was difficult here.

Is that true?
Am I going to be a pain in the ass to get to?
I hope not!!

Did I say Woooo Hooooo?!? I am soooo soooo Sooooo excited!!!

The most convenient parking in the Qtr. is the public lot behind the Westin, right near the Aquarium. It's expensive though.
Metairie guys complain about the parking, but I have never had anyone turn down a date because of parking (that I know of) There is meter parking as well as several garages that are only ten bucks.
DONT!!
i sold my car 1 week after moving to the FQ.. PARKING SUCKS!! lol hope you are having a wonderfull time!
I worked from a home in the French Quarter for a while and I noticed 3 things:

1. Some locals weren't too keen on coming to the French Quarter for anonymity as well as parking purposes. But like some have told you, there are many cheap parking lots you can refer clients to.

2. The number of tourists I saw skyrocketed! Yay! It's a prime spot to be if you're catering to last minute appointments from guys who are in the quarter partying or staying downtown at the casino or in town at one of the finer hotels for business.

3. Be careful of heavy drinkers! They litter Bourbon St. and get horny after too many "big ass beers" and unfulfilling trips to strip clubs, so they begin phoning providers. Most of which are time wasters, too drunk to be respectful, or just downright cheap and want to argue over prices. ( this is not all guys who come to party in the Quarter it just seems that the number of these inquirers raises when they see you're within walking distance to the bar where they're posted up lol)

I'd say overall have fun, but be safe, and working super late at night in the FQ is probably not the best idea because of the culture of excessive drinking that exists in that particular locale.

Enjoy!
