Awww. That's sad. The guy wrote so much music in his time - much of which became iconic, and part of the fabric of American pop culture. But, I never knew that "Nobody Does It Better" (Carly Simon) used in 007's "The Spy Who Loved Me" was penned by Hamlisch. His talent certainly spanned genres.
