Bias

Do y'all think a mod can be biased, lobbied? I received points for supposedly connecting real world information. I did no such thing and don't see how it could be construed that way. Then an ardent poster did reveal real job info of a new conquest, and was seconded by another poster. Can't help but wonder if they got 10 points as well. So far their info hasn't been edited as my question that asked nothing but circumstances (NO INFO). And got a summary judgement. Check my thread in ML comment here if I get banned.
I've gotten 10 points before , you just need to learn how to not total them to 25 . I've got at least 5 infractions currently . Need to let some fall off before you get more . 2 of my infractions are for comments to you .

Not being a dumb racist would probably help.

Maybe just not being dumb. A smart racist simply knows when and how to keep quiet.

Well, this is a "exchange info about pussy" board.

It's not a "monkey shit fight board."
It's not a "show everyone what a smartass you are board."
It's not a generic "free speech board."

The owners allow a great deal of leeway. Sometimes, they draw the line. Sometimes they draw the line by delegating it to their designated volunteer staff members.

If you don't like it, start another board.

I don't have a problem when they decide to stick to the pussy focus and tell people to lay off the other stuff.

As long as they give somewhat fair warning, I don't have a problem with them bouncing those who don't go along out the door. Maybe you feel you didn't get enough warning. Maybe you feel you weren't as "bad" as someone else.

I can't believe you didn't realize you were pushing the envelope.
Hmmmm, usually I am the one you are bitching about being biased, but I wasn't the guy this time. Hmmmmm, maybe we are all wrong and you are right, ..........not!! Here is the stated guideline that you violated:
#5 - Outing or threats of outing are taken seriously. Membership here is anonymous and for the privacy of our members it will remain that way. That means any effort or attempt to connect a person's real world information to their username on this board will be dealt with swiftly and harshly. This includes real names, employment, medical info, addresses past or present, images, criminal or driving record, etc. We expect everyone who participates here to respect and go to great lengths to protect the anonymity and privacy of one another. Reckless disregard or accidental outing will also be taken very seriously.

That means no warning is necessary in this case. Then by starting this thread you violate this one:
#3 - Disrespect to others, IN GENERAL, will be considered an item of low tolerance, especially when posting in our coed forums. Follow the Golden Rule and treat others as you wish to be treated yourself. This applies to fellow members as well as staff. We do not require that you have respect for us, but we do require that you treat us respectfully in the public forums. If you feel the need to vent, gripe, or blow off some steam regarding a staff member's action or decision, we ask that you keep it private. Email, RTM, or the PM system would be the appropriate avenue to take in such cases. In cases where you would like to request additional clarity about a staff decision, you are free to pursue an answer in either a public forum or private means of communication. If handled publicly, post your inquiry in a respectful manner.

If we were truly biased, we could cite you for starting this thread. It would be called disrespect to Staff. Perhaps your problem is that you have never taken the time to get familiar with the Posting Guidelines that the Owners have set forth for members to observe in order to remain Members in good standing. You can find them here: http://www.eccie.net/announcement.php?f=16
Now I (and by extension all other Mods) have done my/our good deed and given you all kinds of warnings here, and even done so in public so in the future you can't try to old "rally the populace against authority figures" defense. This ain't a Democracy. If you don't like the rules, LEAVE! If you want to stay, then observe the posting guidelines as noted above. It is simple really. Just restrict your comments to those about pussy and not other members and you will stay out of harm's way.

Space is right , I violated #5. Took a chance with this thread because it is discussing staff, not disrespecting, discussing. Space said he could point me for this thread, no disrespect, discussion. They have all the power to interpret.
Gee, now you are begining to understand. Everyone can interpret the rules, but the interpretations that matter are those of Staff. Just follow the Posting Guidelines (you have to read them first) and you can stay away from trouble. It is pretty simple really.

So, we can discuss staff pro and con, if it's respectful?
Unfortunately I don't think anyone can discuss pros and cons , or bias , without challenging the authority of the mods and owners of the site . And while you feel they favor some and come down on you , it is obvious that they have bent over backwards this time to keep from banning you . So one might feel they are being bias towards you and not against . I'm thinking if it were a machine making the choice , instead of a human moderator using personal discretion , you might not be responding in this thread . Enjoy the leeway that has been afforded you , and have some fun !

Space and I have thick skins (you have to with this job!) and we do our best to enforce the guidelines equally, doling out PMs, gentle reminders in threads, and eventually warnings and points. But if you really think we are biased, the right avenue to persue that is with the admins and owners.
