Hey Everyone,

Do you all know of any good Mom & Pop style Italian Restaurants here in San Antonio? I only know of a few; Piccolo's and Capparelli's on Evers, Cafe Milano on Bandera, and Little Italy off of West Avenue.

Man, I miss the old Avials (sp) that use to be off old highway 90 years ago.
Was unusual to find that place at that location.

Piccolo's is very good, but the service can suck at times. I've been there a few times and never had any complaints about the food, but the wait can be a bit long. I've also had outstanding service, so it's hit or miss.

Comed, same for most of the *ethnic* restaurants here. Places like Little Italy and Piccolo's used to be very good many years ago, but have gone down in quality and service...and up in price. Lorenzo's is till pretty good though.
