Two more Americans killed in Afghanistan as predicted

You never telegraph your intentions in war and that includes when you are leaving. This morning (Friday) we get word that two more Americans were killed by their Afghanistan "friend". When Obama announced our scheduled departure it ws predicted that attacks would start to ratchet up to speed up the US. Once again, the troops are reaping what Obama the Amateur has sown. If we are leaving, then leave. If we are in it to win, then remove the time table and win. That doesn't mean hang around until the next president has to do it but get some highly aggressive operations going and kill anyone who raises a weapon against us.

What a dunce...go back and listen to the experts when Obama made his decision. Argue with them and know that Obama has blood on his hands.

Two more police officers killed in Louisiana ....ambushed with an assault rifle. It could have been predicted. My explanation of their deaths is about as silly as the original post. 19 terrorists attacked us on September 11, 2001. 15 were from Saudi Arabia, the other four from Egypt, Yemen, and Lebanon. The planning was done primarily in Hamburg, Germany. The funding was from wealthy Saudi families where one of the most extreme Islamic sects rules. The pilot training was done in the US. We attack Iraq and Afghanistan. Go figure.

There is nothing to "win" in Afghanistan. There is no reason to be there. Obama promised he'd get us out quickly. He lied. Soldiers are dying for no clear national interest. They have no definition of victory. Their rules of engagement are limited.

This is insane. Bush started it, and should be tried for war crimes. Obama continued it, even after he lied about ending it, and should also be on trial for war crimes.

Stop the goddam stupid war and get those men and women home. We aren't needed there, and we aren't wanted there. And we don't want them there. Why the hell are they still there?

This isn't exactly the kind of war where keeping "the enemy" in the dark will help matters.

This is a wretched mission of trying to support an unpopular client government which is opposed by a ruthless insurgency. We can't stay there forever, and annoucing a hand-off date doesn't do anything to aid the insurgency. What it might do if conditions were right is put a fucking fire under the asses of our "allies" so they can get their shit together and hold things together after we inevitabably leave.

But that's not going to happen.

America's good at set-peice battles like Iraq in 1991, but disasterous at civil conflicts.

W. Bush was right in 2000 when he said we should avoid them.

Go back and read this time. The original Bush mission is over. We removed the Taliban and punished the transgressors. Obama doesn't know why we are in Afghanistan other than he doesn't want to be the one to leave. So American soldiers are dying for his political agenda. As I said already, if we don't have a clear cut mission anymore then get out without delay. Remember what the great John "I served in Vietnam" Kerry said once, "How do you ask a man to be the last man killed for a mistake?" Obama has admitted that mistake but he won't get our people out.
