President Obama’s recent interviews include outlets such as Entertainment Tonight and People Magazine. Obama’s been dodging the White House press corps for a couple of months, and now even one of his biggest cheerleaders these past few years has been denied:
Obama has even declined an interview with the friendliest liberal outlet on television. Earlier this month, MSNBC’s Chuck Todd sat down with Mitt Romney for a one-on-one interview that will be featured in an hourlong MSNBC documentary that will air prior to the Republican convention. MSNBC’s Chris Matthews, who has been very public about his support for Obama, was not granted an interview with the president for the network’s Obama documentary, which will run prior to the Democratic convention. The White House offered Biden instead.Ouch. King Lear probably felt less betrayed than Tingles. This, however, won’t be enough to get Matthews to sell his Hope & Change pom-poms on eBay, or fail to defend the honor of the man the White House is sending Matthews in place of Obama:
