Romney Takes 14 Point Lead in Florida

It looks like the Democrat scare tactics of accusing Romney-Ryan of wanting to "end Medicare as we know it" have failed, big time. This is a LIKELY VOTER POLL. Likely voter sample groups provide the most reliable prediction of election outcome.

Blog: Poll shocker: Romney up double-digits in Florida

In the most shocking survey this election cycle, a poll released today finds Mitt Romney leading President Barack Obama by 14 percentage points among likely Florida voters.

Foster McCollum White & Associates, Baydoun Consulting and Douglas Fulmer & Associates, of Dearborn, Mich., questioned 1,503 likely Florida voters Friday and found Romney, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, leading Obama 54%-40%. The poll has a margin of error of +/-2.53%.

Although recent Florida polls have been trending slightly in Romney’s direction (+2% and +1% in the most recent surveys), the jaw-dropping 14-point gap is a shocker. Future polls will determine if this result is ahead of the curve or merely an outlier.

In the U.S. Senate race in Florida, the poll found Rep. Connie Mack IV, R-Fort Myers, leading incumbent Bill Nelson 51%-43%.

This is another flash poll. Read what I said about trusting flash poll in this thread.

This is exactly what I am talking about. I don't doubt Romney is leading, slightly, but by 14 is just absurd. Rasmussen and Purple Strategies have it at a 2 and 1 point race. Both of those polls got out of the field within the last week. To have a 12 point gain in 4 days is absurd and unheard of.

FMW is a full-service governmental relations and lobbying firm that provides strategic planning, direct governmental engagement, communications support and advocacy campaigns for organizations. We serve corporations, organized labor, associations and other non-profits, as well as formal and informal coalitions – all of which, at some time, need governmental and public support for legislative and economic initiatives. FMW helps its clients maneuver through the treacherous waters of the public arena, gaining the needed support to move the issue or legislation in their favor

a lobbying firm conducted a poll that differs 12% to every national poll in the country... and from Mich too?

The polls are mixed. You can't just quote an outlier poll as if that's the final word. Originally Posted by joe bloe
