Prayers for my mom, she is in a coma on life support

Many of you have been such a source of support for me over the years so I wanted to ask for your support and prayers now at a time when I need it the most … my mom is at the hospital in a coma and they are only giving her a 10% chance of making it.

She’s been in ailing health for a while, and today was just the day that her body couldn’t take it anymore. I’ve never witnessed such sadness and helplessness in my life.

Please say a prayer for her. Her and my dad just celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary earlier this month, so as you can imagine, he is a wreck. Please include him in your prayers as well.

I must say I have a new found respect for paramedics … my mom was in such bad shape when they got to her place and the dignity, respect and grace they showed towards her and her situation was moving. God bless all of first responders.

Goodnight .. I’m going to and go to sleep now and go to the hospital and check on her first thing in the morning.

I not too long ago lost a loved one and she too was on life support, so i know exactly hofeel and my you and your family will be in my prayers

My dad was on life support with no brain activity for 6 days and no living will, and I had to make the decision for him. It was very hard, and you are in my prayers. I'm so sorry you are going through this. I wish and hope and pray for a miracle for your mom. You are in my thoughts

I'll keep you and your family in my prayers. As hard as it may be to comprehend, this is in God's hands now. Be there for them physically and emotionally but do not let the emotional toil of the possibility of losing her make the moments you are currently sharing distressed. You can do it, God is with you.

Brooke easy way to wake her up is to whisper in her ear what you do for a living.

I went through a similar situation with an aunt years ago. She fell, hit her head on the floor and became comatose. At the hospital, a brain scan revealed no brain activity. She had a living will, but the doctors convinced her sister she had a chance and would not honor the will. She lived on a respirator and feeding tube until her insurance and medicare ran out. Then they pulled the plug.

My advice. Get a brain scan. If there's no activity, let her go. No point in making the doctors and hospital money at you and your mother's expense.
