Banned For Life

Fast Gunn's Avatar
Sometimes the penalties of life can be extremely severe.

In spite of all his hard work, sweat and sacrifice, Lance Armstrong has been stripped of all his all his titles and banned for life.

. . . Does that seem fair?

No

I'm still pissed about Jim thorpe being stripped of his medals.

The French are probably behind this. I think they never liked the fact that an American dominated the Tour de France for so many years. Armstrong tested clean over and over again. It sounds like harassment to me.

Interesting read on the letter from his attorney to the USADA, as well as the judges statements. This is not over by a long shot, he just isn't interested in participating in the USADA circus.

FastGunn, you dramatically over simplify the situation.

On Monday, U.S. District Judge Sam Sparks threw out Armstrong’s case but noted that USADA’s “conduct raises serious questions about whether its real interest in charging Armstrong is to combat doping, or if it is acting according to less noble motives.”
anyone know why his case was thrown out?

He has given up on fighting the charges, is there anything that can be done to clear his name over these charges?

Yes it appears he has given up fighting the charges.

His name is clear as far as I'm concerened.
A doping cheater. He refuses to defend himself and will not answer to the charges...an admission of guilt!

As well as the whole cycling sport.

Of course the French are behind this, but the US Anti Doping Agency is as well.

And for the record, USADA has test results that Armstrong FAILED. The USADA case against Armstrong is overwhelming - and Armstrong knew it. More than ten teammates were ready to testify against Armstrong.

If Lance passed over 500 tests how would USADA have failed tests?

Fucking witch hunt. After three years of fighting for his reputation its obvious Armstrong is tired of the harassment.
