Taking my time just ain't my style, yeah.

One sip ain't gonna do shit.
In the second sip I begin to admit
That the third one down is what makes me feel alright.
And number four I slam down to the floor.
By five I'm ready to fight all night.
And then six, seven, eight to make me break your face
Sometimes.

Sooooo...... how was it? I would have really like to see GS, but was worried that with so many other bands that I don't really care about that it might be tough to get through until them... and that they then might not play that long.

Same concerns about the crowd. While I could deal with a bunch of GS fans in general, I'm thinking that Darien Lake with 10,000+ metal-heads that have been drinking for 8+ hours might get a little annoying.

Bottom line - if you were JUST a Godsmack fan, was it worth it?

All the other bands play on astage set up outside of the main stage in the parking lot area so you dont have to watch them!! But Fozzy is playing he is the "X" wrestle turned metal singer Chris Jerico!!

All the other bands have extended thier sets to make up for them not being there. So i think they are playing 1:15 or so. With our new technology they tell you what times each band goes on stage so you don't have to satnd and watch bands you don't want to.

I am going to see Stained as well but not a big fan, and dont care much for Shinedown but we will see.

As for metal heads we aern't that bad usually pretty mellow once we start drinkin and have clouds of smoke around us.

To ease your mind i've never been to a show were i've seen problems. Maybe two guys fight about it. Being at Darien Lake you can stand in the lawn area and dont have to be around many people.

God Smack puts on a great show so to me its worth the trip to see them!! Let me know!!

Yeah, I mixed up the dates. But now.... it HAS happened. So I'll ask again - how was it? The timing wouldn't have worked for me anyway, but the "setup" you described sounds pretty tolerable. I'm betting I missed a good one.....
It was good! Stained was actually the best band of the night.godsmack doesnt really do it for me, but this girl i know loves them and bought tix! So i couldnt say no.
