The best lasagna in san antonio

Remember Boconnes on Blanco Rd near 1604 and later Bambino Hueys near Bitters and West Avenue. The original owner has opened a new restreraunt on thousand oaks called Diliberties and although the menue is limited what they have is really good. Lasagna, Giant Meatballs, Speggetti in meat sause, Eggplant Parmisan are the main meals. Has a pretty good bakery and it included "Al' famous desert (secretely known as the bambino huey (but dont' call it that) A lot different than the previous places. More bare bones. You order at a counter, take a seat and the food is brought to you (they give you a little plastic number to post on a long metal stick so the waiters will know where to bring the food. It may be bare bones in decor but the food is extremely good and cooked from scratch every day in the resteraunt. Highly recomended for really good Italian food at a moderate cost. (Lasagna was like 12.00, Al,s famous desert was 5.75 and a side salid was bout 3 bucks or so.

Thanks for the intel Jdriller. I LOVED his restaraunts. I was really sad when they kept closing. I hope this one survives.

If he took his recipies with him, no doubt the food is still just as AWESOME!
