I fail to find any fault with the logic in this article. Here is an excerpt:

We are on dangerous terrain when government picks winners and losers in the economy by subsidizing favored products and industries. There are now businesses and entire industries that exist solely as a result of federal patronage. Profiting from government instead of earning profits in the economy, such businesses can continue to succeed even if they are squandering resources and making products that people wouldn't ordinarily buy.

Actually, in the article, he admits that they have. Why not if the government is throwing it away?

This is not new Federal Land Grants, such as those used in the late 1800s railroad companies were deeded 50- or 100-mile-wide stretches of land from which they would select their corridor and then sell the remainder to settlers or land speculators in order to fund construction of their railroad. Talk about government give away. From this came Southern Pacific which became Sprint Cell Phone.
XIT ranch in Texas was given to the people who donated money to building the state house.
