Best Party Bars in San Antonio?

I'll be in SA 10/6 - 10/10, staying on the Riverwalk. What are the best party bars/clubs to hit and to bring a date to?

What type of music? Do you like to dance or do you want something more chill? I'm not very familiar with the club scene myself, but answering these questions might help get responses that fit what you're looking for.

Do you mean downtown specifically? Or where ever?

Music : contemporary rock, salsa, alternative is ok.
Looking for an upbeat place with a party attitude that is a lot of fun. The option to dance is good.
Prefer downtown but if there is a must do hot spot I'll go anywhere!

If ur on the riverwalk go to Sirius, republic of rx, leaping lizards, swigs & pat o's...
Salsa hangout downtown. Is azucar (fri) and they have the best blue Berry mojitos!!

I got word today from a friend of mine that there's going to be a new upscale club opening soon...in the Stone Oak area.

Stone oak FTW nektar,grotto, pepper, ivy rooftop(close but not stone oak) those are my favs. Def party crowds

I could be wrong (stopped promoting a couple of years back, dont go out that often, and HATE the stone oak lounges--unfortunantly thats where all the bars/lounges/clubs moved to other than dtown), but im pretty sure all the lounges jten and miss pepper mentioned dont play the type of music you stated.
