Alex,
I am heavily involved with the oil business here in the Permian Basin. There are many oil-field related jobs available here, but it all depends on what type of work he would like to pursue.
My best advice would be to google oilfield services in Odessa,Tx, browse the many types of work available and start contacting the offices that he is interested in.
he is actually just talking about working on the rigs that we they will feed and house him he doesn't want to relocate, who would be the best for that?

There are many drilling companies, Nabors, Patterson, Big Dog to name a few and also work over-rigs , Nabors, Key and many more. If a person wants a job in the Permian Basin they can have one.

If you have full CDL license, they are needing drivers to transport oil.
thank y'all!
Anybody that wants a job here has one. You don't see people on the corners begging for money. You see signs everywhere asking for employees. Housing is expensive, though. Hotels are expensive. Everything is expensive out here. Even providers charge more out here, and they give less service. I hardly ever hook up with providers out here because the service isn't the same as in another area. Besides that, girls are easy to pickup.
