I heard him on Glenn's show this morning. He's great. His message should not be just for black Christians. The modern day Democrat Party is not consistant with Christianity.

If all the Evangelicals would register and vote Republican, Obama wouldn't have a chance.

And Christianity is not consistent with the american way of life.

Democrats are Allowed to worship God any way they want to .... Kinda like it says in the constitution.

when are you imbeciles going to get that?

Awwww too chicken. That's ok. I love you anyway. And sweetie, the democrat platform is very offended at anything having to do w Jesus.

Jesus is our difference.

Hey stinky, you felt brave enough to come back and post? I know you had some good food today.

Oh, I watched your video. Not impressed in the least. See this is what happens when a person finds a clip that they think will expose something that they think they know about "liberals" and "democrats". His video was full of ignorance.

First, some background. My grandfather was a baptist minister of a black church in Alabama. I spent most summers with him and my grandma when I was a kid. I grew up in "the black church". I have seen guys like this minister my whole life. The infighting and conflict in the black church is not new and it's complex.

The main issue right now is this support of "gay marriage". The homophobia in the black community and especially the black church is a very complex issue and one full of pitfalls and contradictions. Many so called southern black evangelists have been found to preach against homo sexuality in the pulpit but secretly partake when no one is looking (see Eddie Long).

So now that Obama has come out and said that he supports gay marriage, pastors like the one you pointed out here have decided they can not stand with this decision due to their own homophobia and hate. You don't have to agree with homosexuality as a Christian or any other faith, but to let that issue alone be the one issue you use to decide your voting habbits speaks volumes. Many black churches that are more open, and less judgmental and know that Jesus LOVES ALL HIS CHILDREN, will still support the president. Many others will not. That's fine. However, do demonize all democrats and assume all liberals don't believe in God and dont love Jesus is ignorant and incorrect.

There are many democrats of strong faith and they put it into action. God was put back into the democratic platform at the insistence of the president so to say it is not in the platform is a lie on the part of this so called pastor.

You can find this kind of foolishness all over the internet (just google Dr. James David Manning), but it has nothing to do with a loving God who loves all his children, or with HIS son Jesus, who warned us to "judge not".

Is he talking about the democratic party, or organized religion?

I find it humorous when I talk with the racist evangelical democrats about their voting choices and the party platform. If it were not for the ability to pull that straight ticket they wold not vote for Obama. This way they can say they just voted the ticket.

That's exactly what makes it so very difficult for many true christians to feel comfortable supporting either party. Each party has selective memory about what Jesus said, and what parts they want to follow.

Best if politics and religeon were really left separate.

Help me out--what part do you think I have wrong?
This is going to sound far out, imbecile and ridiculous but I strongly believe in the separation of church and state.

Politically, whatever you CAN pay for - do it!
Gay marriage - check!
Abortion - check!
Praising Jesus and paying tides - check!
5 kids from 8 different dads - check!

I still believe in fairytales too!
The Easter Bunny - check!
Santa - check!
Unicorns - check!
Jesus - check!
The Cat in the Hat - check!

Now if you'll all take a moment to join hands...
Now join me in a impromptu rendition of Kumbaya :0)
