Where do you get your movies? I seldom go to the theaters anymore. Too costly and too many kids I had signed up for Netflix for awhile, but I don't have the high speed internet connection necessary or the time to watch the unlimited features they have so I cancelled that. Right now when a movie comes out that I want to see, I've been getting them from Redbox. A location right across the street from my work, so the convience is there. What really saddens me is the fact that there are so few movies that even catch my interest.

What kind of movies are you looking for? If you're looking for the more esoteric, foreign films, you should probably go back to Netflix and select disc shipping (1 or more at a time). They're pretty fast about their turnaround time. I mail the discs back on Monday and receive new ones on Wednesday.

If you're into porn, DVD Empire has an adult section that works like Netflix for porn.

Redbox is a good option, but did you know you can reserve discs online on their website? You might give it a try.
xrentdvd is best for porn rentals. You don't have to do a monthly fee, but you can if you want.

Wasn't really talking about porn, but mainstream(?) movies. My frustration is that no matter where you get your movies, HBO, PPV, online rentals, the vast majority of them are just crap. The last two movies I rented were The Avengers, (loved it), and Battleship (liked it). But when browsing the selections, I see very little that makes me think I want to waste 2 hours of my life.
Yea, I like Redbox if there is a movie I really want to see. It is cheap and easy. Only downside is that it usually takes a bit longer for the new releases to reach it to RB.

Many of the studios are now delaying release to rental companies by 2 to 6 weeks, hoping to spur DVD and Blu-Ray sales.

A couple days a week I don't have to go to work until after lunch. At AMC theaters you can get in at half price until noon. This includes the special venues though the food is pricey. You get the same discount on the weekend as well.
