Men vs. Women: The great toilet seat debate

I got into an argument with a GF of mine, she was mad at her BF because he keeps forgetting to lower the toilet seat after he pee's. I have always been of the mindset that it is each persons responsibilty to ensure that the seat is raised or lowered according to their personal needs. Why should I expect my BF(if I had one) to lower the seat? Isn't it *my* responsibility to make sure the seat is lowered BEFORE I sit down? I asked a couple of other GFs and they all agreed that it should be the man that is responsible for the seat position. Well, why??

I feel if I have to pick it up to pee she should have to put it back down. Women should allways check to see where they are going to sit any ways. I would think you would feel better about where you are going to sit if the seat was left up.
Toilet seats come with a fantastic invention called a hinge that allows it to be raised and lowered. It works both ways. Amazing.

Actually, it would be a better idea to always leave the seat up. That way it would always be clean when a woman wants to sit down.

OK, since you ladies (some of you) want it down so badly, how about I ALWAYS leave it down...before and after I do #1?

What makes it such an inconvenience for women to take that ONNNNNNNNNEEEEE second to put it down for their own personal use? It's not like you need screwdrivers and pliers to put it down. Geeez.

I think they should put it down. That's the way they found it! Plus it just looks kinda tacky when its up, imho....

Plus, who wants to 'fall in' in the middle of the night when you gotta pee and you're half asleep?

just sayin'..........

Can't understand why they can't just lift or lower the seat whenever they need it as opposed to having the seat in raised/lowered position at all times. Never had issues with ex-female roommates. OTOH, I had an ex-male roommate who would never bother to raise the seat when he took the leak and left his deed all over the seat. When I requested that he raised it before taking a piss, he insisted that I lowered the seat every time I'm done. Sure did not make any sense coming from a male.

I generally close the lid all together when im done but in all honesty I think its b/c women dont have to worry about this in public the seats are always down in womens bathrooms. I dont see the point I think that men have just as much right to ask them to put it up when they get done to be honest but whatever keeps the relationship happy I guess.

personally I think it might be a sign of low IQ if you dont look before you sit anywhere for that matter...

There's only one simple solution. Us men should always sit and pee.

I've really never put much thought into this. I keep the lid closed on the toilet all the time unless I am using it. Just a habit I guess.

Hell it to some men doesn't matter of the toilet seat is up, down, or if the lid is closed. They'll piss in the toilet, on the toilet, and all over the adjacent walls and floors. LMAO!!!
I just go piss off the back porch. Solve the problem completely.
