SAN ANGELO IS CANCELLED. IM PISSED AT ECCIE!

OK SO I GOT A "WARNING" BECAUSE I POSTED THAT I HAD TO CANCEL MY SAN ANGELO TRIP. AND THEN THEY PULLED MY AD! WELL THAT JUST PISSED ME OFF BIG TIME! WHAT A STUPID RULE! IT WASNT LIKE I POSTED A WHOLE NEW AD! I JUST WANTED Y'ALL TO KNOW I WASN'T GOING TO BE THERE! IT'S CALLED COMMON COURTESY! JEEZ!!

SEEMS TO ME WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO POST A QUICK AD AND SAY WE HAD TO CANCEL!!

I AM TRYING TO SET THIS TRIP UP AGAIN FOR NEXT WEEK, THE 19-20.

DUNNO IF THAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN UNLESS I GET ALOT MORE BOOKINGS.

Moved from weekend ad forum to COED where such posts about cancellation belong.

just my two cents...... alot of west texas men DO NOT PRE BOOK ....it is impossible for them to do so but once you are there then your phone will blow up... Plus do you know how many woman say they are coming and then do not ever make it so they are tired of pre booking for a noshow,

+1 majichands I have to totally agree with you it seems half of the providers who say they are comming to west texas dont because either they say the hotels are to expensive or there arent enough prebookings. The guys here in west texas have crazy scheduals or are on call 24/7 its just the way things are here. When a provider comes here and we have the time to come see them then we make arrangements but we hate prebooking a week in advance when we dont even know what out work schedual might be. I also dont know how many times I have pre booked to only find out they arent comming or they moved there appointment to a different week. Then there are some who come here for 3 or 4 days and leave early after just 1 day. Its hard sometimes to hobby and it makes you very nervous to pre book in advance. I also see the new providers side to comming to west texas having to pre pay high hotel rates for 2 to 4 days without any or few prebookings inadvance that can be scarey especially to someone who hasnt come here before. We need to come up with a special system just for west texas where providers can post they are here in one city or another since there are several cities here in west texas. Maybe we can start a thread in west texas coed simular to dallas's short notice availability thread something that isnt a place for ads just a place where providers can say hey im here in such and such city in west texas and i am available and have openings for such and such times. Its just an idea that maybe can make things easier for all of us here in west texas.

Just to clarify- wcdann is talking more from a Midland/Odessa point of view and his opinions do not necessarily fit all of West Texas. Only the Midessa area has such outrageous room rates. No shows are a problem in every city in West Texas and is not because of a 24/7 on call. Just like there is no good reason for a NCNS from a provider, the gents should not do the same to the ladies. A quick PM/text/call should be done in all situations if humanly possible.

Can a provider post a reply to her own ad, stating that they've canceled? It would save a little bit of hassle if the cancellation is posted in the same thread as the ad. I don't think anyone looks in Coed Discussions for cancellations.

Yes cryptkicker i totally agree there is no reason for a NCNS for either provider or client and yes i was speaking about the midland/odessa/big spring area. The point i was making was why it is difficult for some of us to make prebooking until we know the provider is here. I also was touching on why some providers who have never been to west texas get nervous about touring here till they have done it. I would also ad that there are several providers who tour here often and do very well here. There is an oil boom going on and lots of workers are flooding into midland/odessa/big spring and because of this hotels are expensive but there are alot of workers looking to have some fun.

Now Sam, Be nice. You have always been fairly good on your ads. And CK always gives benefit of the doubt. So I pulled it up to look.

You never said you were cancelling. You said you were re-scheduling for different dates and that gave more time for everyone to schedule. So, come see me now on such and such a date. That is a straight ad, not a cancellation notice. A cancellation notice is more like ... Hey, not gonna make it. Sorry.

Noreason to be pissed, especially for just a warning.

I have to agree, prebooking doesn't work. I usually call, and if they can fit me in, that is nice but if they can't fit me in, that is fine, too. Sometimes, no one is available that I want to be with but that is what I get for not being able to make appointments. I already know that.

Today, I could prebook but this is really unusual for me to have any free time. I just don't see anyone I want on here, today. I just might go to work cause what else is there to do out here.

I think that its a rule in El Paso that you don't make reservations. Sporting events here count on walk up business as do some concerts and plays. Restaurants don't bother to take reservations. Here, its just our culture.

This is VERY true.

Sorry may be stretching this thread a little long, but girls it may seem risky, but try it out for yourselves (midland/odessa). I never prebook due to the demanding and unpredictable work schedule here. I look here or on 411 when I get a chance, give a call for an appointment in the next hour or two, and go for it. It could be any time of day or evening. I think that there is a lot of demand here that pre-booking will not represent.

This is getting off course here...I wasn't pissed because everyone cancelled, or wouldn't prebook. I was pissed because I posted "in the wrong section" that I needed to cancel, and eccie, in all their infinite wisdom, gave me a "warning" like i was 6 yrs old or something.

OK...now to the prebooking issue...it's not finacially feasible, or even a little bit smart for me, or any of us girls to drive 3 hours, get a room, and HOPE some of y'all call at the last minute. I won't go anywhere without at least 3 prebooked appts. Hopefully, those 3 will show, and you last minute fellas can fill in the empty hours.

That room I booked was $106. I get 17.5 mpg....3 hours on the road...157 miles...food, time away from home when I am probably missing appts....

See what I am saying here?
