What's your point Whirly? In the 2010 Texas Governor's race, Bill White won 14 of the 15 largest newspaper endorsements in the state. The only major (top 15) Texas newspaper to endorse Rick Perry was the Wac(k)o, Tx, newspaper. It should be noted that Rick Perry won the election by a significant margin, despite the near unanimous lack of major Texas newspaper endorsements.

What does all of that prove? It proves that newspaper endorsements have lost their oomph!

To add insult to Whirly's injury, according to "the very respectable Real Clear Politics" (Whirly's words, not mine) Obama not only leads Romney in Iowa, but the President currently leads Romney in the Electoral College by a 281-257 margin.
