I have a couple of big customers who have been holding off on any decisions regarding how they will handle Obamacare. Now that the election is over, I suspect some pretty big layoffs. I talked to a Port Captain today who is pretty worried. He has two strikes against him, he is close to 60, and has a high salary.
It's the law. We might as well get used to it and adapt as neccessary. We are meeting with our insurance agent next week to see just what course we will take.
We damned sure are not laying anybody off. We have way too much work, and good men are hard to come by. Of course, we don't have a lot of dead weight laying around like larger companies, so many of them will have to trim the fat, so to speak.
