HOW DOES GOVERNMENT CREATE JOBS?

This thread, like all others I post, is intended to allow liberals to embarrass themselves. Liberals can embarrass themselves in 2 ways. First, by telling all of us what they believe in regard to how government creates. Secondly, by not posting in this thread because they don't know how government can create jobs......

Mitt Romney spend the past 6 months saying he can create jobs, and Odumbo spent the last 6 months saying it was Bush's fault, R's wanna take away your birth control and float your sick grandma out on an icekeg.....

America put their faith in Odumbo to bring the jobs back, so how does he do it? [assuming he actually wants to do it and not grow the dependent class]......

During the 2010 mid-terms the GOP campaigned fiercely on the platform of job creation and, as a result of such promises, the GOP gained the majority in the House of Representatives. As new Speaker of the House, John Boehner made the welcome claim that the primary goal of the Republican Party was to increase employment in the U.S.

His exact words were: "We're going to have a relentless focus on creating jobs."

Ask Mitt, he was going to create 12 million. I guess both sides of the aisle don't understand how jobs are created.

Everyone has heard the statement, “Government does not create jobs.” This phrase is patently false. Instead, government has directly or indirectly created more than 90 percent of all jobs in Las Vegas.
Government created Hoover Dam, Interstate 15 and McCarran International Airport. Does any rational person really believe the MGM, Mirage or Venetian hotels are responsible for more jobs than these three government projects? Lake Mead supplies 90 percent of the water used in Las Vegas. Would these hotels have been built without the water source?
Furthermore, government creates more than 80 percent of all professional jobs via public institutions like the College of Southern Nevada and UNLV. The private sector seldom creates engineers, nurses, historians and dozens of other professionals.
The extreme antigovernment statement even has a false premise. It is like saying Venus, air and dirt do not create jobs. It is not the function of street cleaners, postal workers, librarians and dozens of other professions to create jobs. It is more accurate to say the function of government is to create needed public services.
Government similarly creates such employment in all 50 states. It is impossible to have a modern nation without a wide array of government jobs. Places without a multitude of government jobs have names like Ethiopia and the Amazon jungle.
Statements like, “Government does not create jobs,” should be subject to elementary scrutiny.

It's a lot better for the private sector to create jobs because those jobs are paid for without government taxation or debt, the former being a form of compulsory purchase and the latter being unsustainable.

But when the private sector is in shambles because no one has enough money to buy anything government has to step in.

In Germany under the Nazis in 1933-34 unemployment was eliminated completely by giving everyone a temporary government job.

After 1934 in Germany their economic depression was over while the rest of the capitalist world mired in poverty and misery with no end in sight.

In the US during World War II unemployment was finally eliminated by also giving everyone a temporary government job.

Government spending is highly stimulative of the economy because all the money government spends goes into jobs for ordinary people and they spend all that money right away instead of saving it, investing it, etc.

All the money government spends increases aggregate demand on a dollar for dollar basis, and no other form of activity does that except for government spending.

obama's mission is not to create jobs per se, thats merely a sideline thing. oh yes he wants to support unions and government jobs and even private sector jobs...but his mission is to level out the wealth of the nation...

and in so doing, if a few jobs along the way are lost , well he will provide..aid and food stamps and unemployment compensation and healthcare..so all will really be ok.

if a few eggs have to be broken to make his omelet, thats the price


his stealth way to level out the wealth is to have an ever increasing deficit, its tantamount to taxation even if he cant get a tax raise passed..its a silent tax....government deficit spending accomplishes the same thing and also just keeps an ever increasing pressure and "worth" to the phrase "the wealthy needs to do their share"

have you ever heard obama ever be concerned about the deficit? no calling george bush unpatriotic for a deficit when he was running for president doesnt count..that was just a suberfuge and lie to get elected....

Anyone who knows Obama will tell you he has no ideology, strategy, or grand design.

I wish he did however.

The middle class needs to be restored in this country, and that means returning marginal Federal tax rates back to where they were under Reagan.

We need income distribution and taxes back to where they were under Reagan.

What's happend since has made the upper two or three percent soak up all the gains the middle class used to enjoy, and that's at the heart of the sluggish demand which is drowning the economy.

Marginal rates depend on income levels, and those have to be adjusted back to what obtained before the Bush cuts, which were supposed to be temporary.

As far as Obama is concerned, anyone who even listens to him speak can tell he isn't a thinker. With his spare time he watches sports, smokes cigarettes and drinks malt liquor. When he was younger he used to stay high all the time.

Obama isn't a reader, speaks no languages other than his urban-dialect brand of English, never travels outside the US if he doesn't have to...
