BCS Madness!!!!!!

You have to love it! Kansas State goes down in flames (to unranked Baylor of everyone!) and Oregon is in the fight for their life.

Holy shit! Oregon just lost. That means the no. 1 and no. 2 teams lost on the same night...within minutes of each other! When was the last time this has happened, does anyone know/remember?

Holy crap,

Does this mean that Notre Dame is #1?

Yep! Notre Dame is no. 1, and Bama should be No. 2. The last time the top two teams lost was in 2007, the year when there were no undefeated teams left in the BCS by the time the championship game rolled around. Crazy, great year of college football!

I love all the top ones loosing, but hate that this week puts Bama back in the national title game. Oh well

I was rootig for Ole Miss to take down LSU another peg as well. I'd hate to see an Alabama vs Notre Dame matchup because Bamako would hand the Irish their asses in a contest. Don't like either team but I want to see a national championship fight that comes down to the final second!

Anything can happen on a Friday night or Saturday that will change the standings. I still don't quite agree with the BCS, yea we need a computer telling us the ratings. Why did A&M slip so far?
Marcus78's Avatar
Yeah, A&M got screwed a bit, but they slipped by default since Stanford forced their way into the top 10. Besides, it was only a one spot drop. The same thing happened when A&M broke into the top 10; they displaced a team or two on their way up.

If A&M can handle Mizzou (people say I'm crazy, but A&M has a bad history of losing to them, so this is no cakewalk I think) they should at least maintain their rank. However, seeing as it will take a miracle to move up in the SEC rankings, I think they will get stuck with the Cotton Bowl vs. Texas/OU, or the Capital One Bowl vs. Michigan. I just don't see a BCS bowl in their future as Florida and LSU are ranked higher than A&M. In any event, they've done a hell of lot better than anyone would have guessed for their first year in the SEC.
