Does anyone know if the violence has gone down yet?

I have also heard from some contacts that some cops now, instead of stopping you, searching you and returning your wallet 20 bucks lighter and releasing you are now hauling you off to the police station (after of course taking a "tip" for themselves) where you cool your heals for a few hours. Its evidently in line with a new police policy to boost individual officer's arrest stats.
Man that blows, I've been robbed by cops over there, but going to jail on top of that! I may never go back there, ever.
