Private Message deletion question...

If I send a private message and then delete it from my mailbox, does it still get sent to the intended recipient? A wave of concern just swept over me that I may have deleted a message before the other party had a chance to read it.

I apologize if this has been asked recently. I did look through the threads and did not see it.

Yes, it does go to the intended recipient. The one you see on your 'send item' is just a copy. Deleting that message has no impact on receiving side. Deleting on your side cleans up the space.
