Time for Bo to Go

I'm sure MsElena is happy for her badgers. I think most Cornhusker fans realize that Bo was out coached big time in the Big 10 championship game. While Bo has at least got the program on a better footing, he just can't seem to get all the pieces together to get Nebraska into the top tier again.

Could be. All I know is that the were calling for TO's head plenty of times before got it all together.
No matter who the coach is, fans want his head if the team loses. I could see if the huskers had a 4-8 season, but they had a 10-3 season which is better than my Badgers. Bo didn't get out coached, his players (Taylor) kept screwing up. Plus, the huskers are known for choking on the big important games.

The man that all husker fans think is the best thing in college football good ole T.O., look at his track record.

Now, don't get me wrong.....I don't think my Badgers walk on water because they had a bad, bad season. The team who wanted that win last night the most won.

And yes FS......I am thrilled my boys won. Just wish I hadn't of been surrounded by drunk, bitter husker fans who felt the need to be stupid. I dislike bitter fans of any sport.

Be careful what you ask for. Remember when Frank goy the axe for not being able to win the big game. What did we get, the Callahan years. Was last night an embarrassing loss? Yes. Does it mean we need to flip out and fire everyone? NO.
Solich lost his job because he couldn't keep his dick in his pants and he just had to play with someone who worked for the school. No discretion there.

The school/boosters paid a lot of money to keep her quiet and for no lawsuits.

I am old enough to remember some of TO's earlier teams looking very bad in games against the likes of Oklahoma, Mizzou, Iowa St, Alabama, and Washington St (remember the Throwin' Samoan?). I remember one of TO's early games against Oklahoma (1973?) where Nebraska didn't even cross the 50 yard on offense. I remember a 6-6 tie against LSU to open the 1976 season when Nebraska was ranked preseason #1. I remember Nebraska losing 7 straight bowl games after the 1987 through 1993 seasons and often looking rather inept in the process.

If they had fired Osborne after his first five years even though he won at least 9 games every year, the 60 win 3 loss stretch with 3 national titles between 1993 and 1997 would have never happened. Remember, TO was offered and almost accepted a job at Colorado after the 1978 season. Hell, Devaney went 6-4 in both 1967 and 1968 and if they had fired him he would not have won national championships in 1970 and 1971 and TO would not have been around to become head coach.

Am I happy with what happended last night? No way! Does Bo need to make changes in certain aspects of his program such as recruiting, how they practice, assistant coaches, etc? Probably. But do they need to throw the bums out and totally clean house? Hell no! Bo has won at least 9 games every year, his players are graduating and the team GPA is at the highest it's been in years, and the off the field incidents are minimal. As MrMike stated, remember the last time we fired a coach who won 9 games. And every time you fire a coach, you basically lose a recruiting class.

That was the rumor back in 2003, but as more and more time passes the more I doubt if it was valid. There are too many members of the local media with their own agendas and I can't help but think if this were true it would have been all over the news by now. I can see it now, "Frankie's Love Child, story at 10:00" Ernie Chambers would have had a field day with this.

I do agree he was out-coached some last night but I also believe that we have the right coach for the job. Tom never had a record worse than 9 wins and I believe Bo has the same benchmark. lets get some big upfront people and some good rush ends and we will DOMINATE!!!!! GO HUSKERS
Wisconsin had the advantage of being able to game plan and practice for Nebraska for several weeks since they had their division locked up so early. I think it was obvious the last three weeks that they didn't care much about their opponent and were practicing for this one game. The Rose Bowl became more important than anything else. Their 1st half game plan was brilliant.

Nebraska had one good play on both the O and D lines. They other are not strong or quick enough. The line backers are too slow. Wisc knew this and planned accordingly. Get Nebraska to have to pass and we will own them.

Bo needs better coaches. Coaches that can developed talent. Coaches that can recruit. Strength coaches that can do a better job. You can't fire a coach that has won 10 games. Who will take the job?
Throw whatever it takes at Gruden and then explain to him where Nebraska is.
Only if he gets a new haircut. Isn't he tired of looking like Chuckie? lol
If you want to get Chuckie you had better get Tony Dungy to build the team first.
Good point. And now we've come full circle back to Billy Callahan with Gruden knowing the entire Raiders playbook to win his only SB. On an unrelated note I still love replaying Kenny Bell's block. Frank's talent cupboard was running low after running out of TO's players. Exhibit A-Jammal Lord and Dan Alexander wouldn't even be backups today. If anyone needs to go it's Barney Cotton.
Wisconsin just scored again.
