Reviews go through 2 manual steps for approval and assignment. The only part of the process that is automatic is that the reviews go in the queue for Mods to look at on their own. The rest is a purely manual process.
First, they are reviewed (meaning local Mods read every line and word and check them for the information for PA credit that has been set forth by the Owners) to see if they meet the criteria to be approved for Premium Access Credit. Sometimes we don't reject them right away, but instead, send a PM to the OP giving them a chance to correct any deficiencies in the review for PA credit. We usually give them 2-3 days to send the corrections to us so we can perfomr the edits, before we decision the review.
Then when we have extra time (whatdafuck is that!!!!! LOL), we then have to go back and through another manual operation, we assign them to what we hope is the correct Provider. If the Provider is not in the system, we have to create a "Guest Profile" for them so we can then assign the review to someone. Any idea how many Mercedes from BP that we have in the system? LOL!!!!
The Assignment portion is Genuisman's primary territory, but when you consider the sheer volume of reviews on this site, it can easily overwhelm one person so in lots of cases it takes us a bit before we get them assigned.
As RR stated, lots of guys and ladies send us PM's asking us to assign their review. If you want to do that please include a link to the review in your PM. This makes it a lot faster when we go to assign it. It also assures that we are working with the correct review, and not one someone else has written!!!!! It is always a good idea to include a link to any thread or psot that you are asking about in your PM's!!
Hope this helps everyone understand why it takes a bit to sometimes get these reviews assigned.
Thank you, I feel thoroughly educated. That was a very informative article, Sir. That does sound like a long tedious process. A BIG PAIN IN THE ASS!! Why the hell would anyone want to be a mod besides the obvious perks I don't know? It is a thankless job.
