What is This Gun Worth

I inherited a firearm and box of ammunition, and I'm curious as to what they're worth. The weapon is a bolt-action with a wooden stock that's missing the rubber or plastic butt, and there's a box of 20 shells that reads "Game Loads - 20 Plastic Shotshells - Bore 410 - Length 3 - Velocity FPS 1135 - Oz Shot 11/16 - 5 Shot"
-
Now I know enough about guns - I think - to decipher most of the above. What I don't know is what is this weapon worth? It is not showroom quality, and as I said the butt of the stock is missing, but the action works smoothly and the sight is not broken off or bent. Can someone help me out with a ballpark figure?
Its probably a Stevens or Savage. 50.00 tops

You may want to take it to Storied Firearms, 9300 US 290, just past Oak Hill. Or, up north Heritage Firearms, 13497 Hwy 183 are pretty good and reputable.
http://www.firearmspriceguide.com/ you can also go to manufacture site and enter serial number
