It's thirty minutes until the end of the world, theoretically, and I'm on a whoremonger website. That sounds about right. Not exactly an auspicious way to go.

America is approaching critical mass, with our national debt, in essense a boiling point. Most people have adjusted to the increasing problem because it hasn't happened over night. For many people our enormous debt and deficit have become the new normal. Those who do express their fear that the debt problem will soon become unfixable are denounced as Chicken Littles by the majority who tell themselves there is nothing to worry about.

There is a limit to how much debt we can carry before the system collapses. No one knows for sure exactly what that limit is, but there is a limit. I agree with COG that the system is going to collapse if we don't make fundamental changes very soon.

I don't know about the End of the World, but the End of the Sandbox would be pretty cool.
