Ben Franklin has a famous quote that says "those that who would trade freedom for security deserve neither".
Morsi is quoted in saying that they needed to get the new Constitution signed as quickly as possible because everybody is tired of the constant riots. People want stability.
I suppose the devil will be in the details, we will see just how much freedom the new Constitution grants, and how much it takes away. Of course, the secular part of the community fears the heavilly Islamic influence in the new Document.
Are their fears well founded?
I doubt the new Egyptian Constitution has an" Establishment Clause" such as was included in our Bill of Rights.
We will see.
