Should RG-3 have been playing?

That was bad. And now it's going to take him a long time to heal.

This is the worst kind of injury for a Quaterback who doubles as a runner.

From listening to many of the National Sports Talk Shows, he should have been out of there midway through the 2d quarter. Was that game worth his carreer.

I hope he does heal. He is a great athlete and a credit to the NFL.

no ...shoulda been benched

a back up QB with 2 good knees trumps a good QB with 1 good knee any day of the week ..

If I were Griffin, I'd hire the same Doc that fixed Adrian Petersons knee
Should have started second half with the backup QB and let him work into a rhythm, instead of the very end of the game when there's nothing he could do anyway. Shanahan should have his head (and contract) examined. Of course RGIII was telling him he was ok. He's bought into his own legend as much as anyone.

But the head coach is paid to make decisions that help the team win, not risk a young man's career because of too much bravado. This one's on the coach.

He should have been taken out after that limping scramble. And they had a quality back-up in Kirk Cousins. If his MRI is bad Shanahan is going to take a lot of grief on this.

the Packers played solid, smash mouth defense ... so did the Ravens against the Colts

defense wins big trophies

I've never liked Shanahan. If he's the coach, he should be the coach. I understand RGIII wanting to stay in the game, he's a competitor. It's up to the coach to take charge and run the team.
Probably should have been out it was the leg you throw off of and couldn't cut when he ran. When his leg gets healed he should kick the center in the ass till he learns how.

I'm a Chiefs fan. Therefore, I have no interest in the playoffs or football in general.

Well, it's easy to say he should have stayed out of the game, now and with the benefit of hindsight.

. . . However, it's hard to keep a warrior out of the battle when he did so much to get you to this point. Most players are accustomed to playing with pain, but he over did it. I wish RG3 well, but he's got a much more serious injury now because he played that last game.

Part of the problem is that WAS jumped out to a 14-0 lead. When it became apparent that RG3 was hurt, Shanahan should have pulled him.

Ponder was pulled from the MIN game and the announcers went beserk saying how Webb hadn't thrown a pass all season. What I never heard was did Webb have any reps with the first team. By the way he played, he didn't have many.

My guess us that Cousins hadn't had any first team reps that week.

An NFL coach with a 14 point lead and a backup with no reps is very reluctant to pull the star QB. The star QB isn't going to pull himself, especially with the blowback Jay Cutler has experienced.

If you had two good eyes, you could see that he should have been pulled after the 2nd TD. I bet a lot of money on the Seahawks and I was praying they would not pull him. I told the people at my table that Washington was not going to score another offensive TD as long as RG3 was in the game.

The head coach was a pussy for not pulling him out of the game. He could not run and he could not throw. A blind man could see that. That said, I'm glad they kept him in! I hope he is not hurt long term. That was the worst coaching move I have ever seen.

Roll Tide!
