Austin Community Happy Hour - Wednesday, Jan.23

ck1942's Avatar
Just the usual low-key reminder that the invites for the Wednesday, Jan.23 Happy Hour (4:30 pm to 8 pm +) are in process of being distributed.

If you are not already on the invite and wish to attend, please send me a PM.

More details about invites and event rules are in the link in my signature.

If you were on previous invite lists and dont't get a current invite, please let me know as no-shows and "failure to get re-vouched" invitees usually drop to inactive status.

I've updated the thread title to remove "xmas".

Well, I'm going to show up dressed as Santa anyway, let the little girls sit on my lap, and ask them if they've been good little girls. If they say yes, no candy for them.
Should I bring my silver dollars? Last party most of the ladies wore long pants due to the cold. I will bring a few just in case.

See y'all manana. Some ladies from Dallas and San Antonio and maybe elsewhere planning to attend.
All ready to hit the road to Austin. Would you like to have a door prize to give away? I have a door sling I will bring down for a door prize if you want it.

Just a reminder that we should all dress and act appropriately for a non-hobby venue.

That way, it's more fun removing the appropriate dress after the event.

I realize that may not be what was meant, but just so the newbies don't get the wrong idea.

Yup. The official events are "civilian tame" and the after parties are elsewhere from the M&G venue. Sometimes very private "elsewheres!"

Tucson, thanks for the door prize offer; we've done stuff like that in the past, but simply buying a drink or two for a lady and letting all who attend know we are very grateful for their presence is well appreciated, too. Letting those who missed the event know we missed them is also well appreciated.

Of course, those who need a reason to celebrate might note that today is also National Pie Day (as has been pointed out to me by a certain wise ass!).
